Robert Onion was born in London in 1963 he studied 3-Dimensional Design at Brighton Polytechnic. A former interior designer, he worked for a number of leading design agencies in London before setting up his own brand design consultancy Circle in the early 1990s. Circle is now an internationally renowned brand agency and a leader in branding for the retailing sector. Rob’s love of international design has taken him all round the world, and he has worked for extensive periods in Spain, Middle East and the USA.

Practicing as a design professional in the pre-computer age Robert excelled as an interior and architectural illustrator. In 2013 Robert returned to his lifelong love of illustration developing a distinctive lino print style focussing on the hidden architectural and industrial gems of his adopted home Ramsgate.
